Looking for a Hardware Design Engineer in the field of Analog/Digital/Power Hardware and Systems Design to join the Robotics & Space Operations team
As a member of the Electrical Engineering Team in Analog/Digital/Power Hardware and Systems Design, you will work to support space program, and/or the planetary/lunar rovers’ programs, and/or R&D activities.
Responsibilities:
• Low-noise Analog circuit design including sensor front-end amplifiers, filtering, and data acquisition systems (DAQ).
• High-speed digital and analog board design experience including schematic entry, circuit simulations, electrical worst-case analysis, parts stress analysis, PWB layout design, and support to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) drawings.
• Testing and debugging of CCAs at the board level, testing of avionics at the unit level, and system integration level.
• Proficient in the use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, TDR’s and VNA’s, power amplifiers, function generators etc.
• DC Brushless/Brushed Motor Driver/Controllers, resolvers, and encoders design
• Design and manufacture of test racks and other assemblies (Cable harnesses)
• Perform routine checks and design verifications of COTS components in designs
• Design of motor control schemes and sensors related to motor drivers
• Strong analytical, problem solving, communication and organization skills
• Technical presentations to customers like CSA and NASA for design reviews
• Strong human relations skills, and dedication to meet project deadlines
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Computer, Electrical or Systems Engineering
• 5 - 10 years of experience in engineering function in space, robotics, or related technical field. Candidates will be considered for a Intermediate/Working/Senior levels based on their qualifications and years of experience
• Experience with the OrCAD Suite of software
• Experience with PCB/CCA manufacturing cycle processes
