About the Role: As a Mechanical Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our products. You will be responsible for inspecting machined and fabricated parts, weldments, electro-mechanical hydraulic assemblies, and related hardware to meet stringent quality standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of parts, assemblies, and systems to verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Utilize metrology instruments and CMM equipment to accurately measure and analyze parts.
Interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and process plans.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain detailed inspection records and documentation.
Adhere to strict quality management system (QMS) procedures and safety protocols.
Interface with in-house DND QAR during interim/final inspection of equipment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in quality control or assurance.
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Proficiency in using metrology instruments and CMM equipment.
Excellent mathematical and blueprint reading skills.
Knowledge of calibration methods and standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle) and quality management software (TIPQA) is an asset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Education:
Post-secondary diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, quality engineering, or a related field.
