About the role


Aversan Inc. is headquartered in Mississauga and is looking to build a local presence in the Ottawa region to build strong long-lasting and personalized relationships with our customers. The selected candidate will be an important part of the Ottawa area team and will support them with the following responsibilities:
 

Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition: Identify, engage, and recruit top talent within the tech and defense sectors, focusing on high-quality candidate delivery within tight timelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Ottawa leadership team to understand staffing needs and ensure a strong personality fit.
  • Candidate Vetting: Collaborate with HQ TA team and the engineering team to vet candidates, refine candidate profiles, and schedule interviews.
  • Database Development: Build and maintain a localized candidate database tailored to the Ottawa region.
  • Client Interaction: Attend occasional client meetings in the Ottawa area to better understand client requirements and expectations.
  • Process Alignment: Integrate seamlessly with HQ TA team processes, maintaining workflow efficiency and ensuring alignment with existing recruitment systems.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Provide assistance to other team members during downtime and receive support when needed.
 

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of recruitment experience, including senior-level roles.
  • Proven expertise in HW and SW engineering in telecom and defense sectors, with established industry connections.
  • Exceptional ability to source and deliver candidates with short deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective collaboration with teams and clients.
  • Ability to work remotely while being available for in-person client meetings in the Ottawa region.
  • Familiarity with staffing augmentation workflows and processes.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and efficiency.
