Engineering Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Engineering Technician with strong expertise in AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys mentoring others in the use of ACADE. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Substation Design Suite (SDS) and a solid background in engineering, drafting and design.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering technician tasks under supervision using electronic applications and document control procedures.
• Create or modify engineering deliverables based on design inputs.
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of engineering standards, systems, and internal policies.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Learn and apply tools to modify fewer complex deliverables.
• Begin to understand internal and external client needs and priorities.
• Share knowledge of new technologies and processes proactively

 

Basic Qualifications

• Proficiency in ACADE (AutoCAD Electrical) with the ability to train others.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience using ACADE in a professional setting.
• Experience with SDS (Substation Design Suite) is a strong plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
