Aversan Inc. (www.aversan.com) is a reputable Engineering Company that provides expertise in the Aerospace and Defense industries. We are currently seeking a qualified Business Development Manager to work on leading-edge technology products and Services. The successful candidate for this full-time position will be a part of a highly motivated and highly technical team responsible for designing, commissioning, and maintaining Test Equipment for various high-tech products and industries, including telecommunications, medical devices, and aerospace. Location: Canada.
Collaborate with the business development team to expand the footprint within USA/Canada Aerospace, Military, Defense, and/or Nuclear and spearhead new growth in markets where the company can deliver a winning value proposition;
Develop and expand a business pipeline that effectively caters to different market segments;
Perform market research and assist with strategic business development planning;
Work with clients to identify pain points and develop solutions.
Proactively seek new approaches to drive business development and corporate branding initiatives;
Lead proposal writing teams to deliver detailed quotes and solutions to customers and clients;
Respond to public and Private sector RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs;
Gather market intelligence pertaining to key customers and competitors to shape company strategy and further develop business;
Travel to support client meetings.
Participate in industry events and conferences, representing Aversan’s services and products.
Actively generate contacts, leads, and opportunities;
Contribute to writing blogs, white papers, presentations, and other materials as required;
Work with technical resources to create solutions for clients and communicate technical details to clients and marketing departments;
Partner with Business Development and Project Engineers to produce marketing and presentation materials for customer meetings, seminars, and conferences;
Effectively communicate company proficiencies and services to prospective clients;
Develop specialized competency in Medical Devices or Digital Health.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Aerospace engineering, or equivalent;
Passion for sales and Business Development;
Familiarity with the product development cycle for hardware and software solutions;
Familiarity with the software development life cycle for enterprise-wide systems;
Ability to interpret technical data and document it in a way that is easy for non-technical audiences to read and apply;
Evidence of leadership in experience
A proven ability to lead and capture profitable business within a USA Aerospace and military market segment;
Direct selling experience in targeting key accounts and selling engineering services
Experience working on campaign briefs and proposals;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
