We are currently seeking a qualified Bilingual Quality Assurance Specialist (French & English) to join our team.
 
Location: Montreal, Quebec
Schedule: HYBRID (2 days in office)
 
Description
The Quality Assurance Group develops and maintains a world-class Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure customer deliverables meet compliance standards and to promote continuous improvement. As a Hardware Quality Assurance Specialist at Client, your role will be to ensure that quality standards are upheld, company norms are maintained, and product integrity is preserved for hardware used in flight training devices.

Responsibilities
  • As a Hardware Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall compliance and effectiveness of the manufacturing process (including incoming product inspections, final inspections, and the full manufacturing cycle, including product and process validation).
  • Execute the full audit process cycle — plan the audit, conduct it, report/communicate findings, and issue corrective actions if necessary. Audits will primarily focus on internal processes (manufacturing, regulatory compliance, internal policies) as well as external/supplier processes (QMS, design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, inspection).
  • Ensure product compliance with design requirements based on a quality plan — develop inspection and testing standards, establish control points, oversee the inspection process, and handle non-conformities through resolution plans.
  • Maintain manufacturing compliance — review, assign responsibility, and determine the material disposition of non-conformities; lead investigations to identify root causes and necessary corrective actions for hardware issues; update/develop standards for accepting/rejecting parts; implement quality clinics.
  • Lead MRB (Material Review Board) meetings and provide necessary recommendations.
  • Conduct quality audits in production areas.
  • Validate and verify manufacturing processes and qualification techniques.
  • Implement production measures to drive continuous improvement projects.
  • Identify improvement opportunities — analyze data to find recurring issues using problem-solving tools (Ishikawa, Pareto, control charts, etc.); organize product/process improvement workshops.



Basic Qualifications
  • College diploma (D.E.C.) in mechanical or electrical engineering (or technical training with equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with internal and external (supplier) audits required
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and its quality management principles
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to mechanical or electrical products (welding, plating, painting, machining, sheet metal, mechanical/electrical assembly, PCB assembly, cable assembly)
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
