Minimum 5 years of experience with mechanical design and analysis activities, including tolerance analysis, component selection, and performance analysis
Familiarity with NX CAD & CAE tools
Experience in the manufacturing and testing of subsystems, assemblies, and components – including the design of GSE
Investigate problems/failures during development and test
Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
Basic Qualification:
Interested candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of post-graduate experience in the Mechanical/ Robotics/ Aerospace industry.
Advanced ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports.
Previous experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field, such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
Team player and detail oriented.
Displays attributes of a critical thinker and leverages innovative ideas.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
Communication skills – oral and written
Understanding spacecraft requirement is an asset
Must Haves:
Experience in CAD models and drafting and design, especially Unigraphics NX (CATIA, ProE)
Must have good GD&T experience
Experience in Gear Train - Power Train, Moving Interfaces, And Robotics
Experience in Tight Tolerance, Dynamic Interface - Machined Component Design
Must Be Proficient in Kinematic Analysis, Selecting Motors, Bearing Selection, Bushing Selection, Sizing of Components, Gear Train, Power Train, Custom Fit Gear, Custom Gearbox
