Senior Project Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the execution and delivery of complex aerospace test engineering programs. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of test engineering solutions while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

The successful candidate will rely on strong technical expertise, project management discipline, and leadership skills to drive cross-functional coordination and ensure compliance with aerospace engineering processes.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate design and development activities within test engineering functions to meet customer requirements
  • Lead solution definition from requirements capture through design, development, validation & verification, production introduction, and qualification lab support
  • Manage full program lifecycle including scope, schedule, cost, technical performance, resources, and risk mitigation
  • Establish and maintain detailed technical plans, cost estimates, schedules, and resource forecasts
  • Track and report program progress, milestones, earned value metrics, risks, and budget status
  • Remove execution barriers and drive timely resolution of technical and operational issues
  • Lead internal and external technical reviews and design coordination meetings
  • Develop and implement management operating systems to monitor project metrics and ensure data accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace engineering standards and processes

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Electronics)
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in electronics within aerospace or transportation industries
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience, including baseline management, earned value reporting, computer-based scheduling and reporting tools
  • Experience with Test Engineering design processes
  • Proven track record developing test software and hardware systems
  • Working knowledge of DO-160 and MIL-810 standards
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  • Experience with Agile project execution methodologies
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional and global teams

Compensation: $100,000 – $125,000 annually
The base salary or rate offered to an applicant within this range is determined by considering several factors, including the individual's geographic location, skills, competencies, and unique qualifications. This ensures compensation is fair and aligned with the specific requirements and attributes of each candidate.
