We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist with deep expertise in Meta to lead organic and paid social strategy. You’ll build and run campaigns, grow engagement, and turn storytelling into measurable impact across Facebook and Instagram.

Responsibilities
Develop and own an integrated Facebook + Instagram strategy aligned to organizational goals (awareness, engagement, fundraising, volunteer recruitment, program participation).
Create campaign plans (monthly/quarterly) with clear objectives, audience targets, creative direction, budgets, and KPIs.
Build an always-on engagement approach (community growth, retention, and supporter activation).
Plan, set up, and manage paid campaigns in Meta Ads Manager (traffic, engagement, lead generation, conversions/donations where applicable).
Build and test audiences (custom audiences, lookalikes, interest-based, retargeting) and refine targeting based on performance.
Run A/B tests on creatives, copy, placements, and audiences; optimize for cost efficiency and results.
Manage budgets, pacing, and reporting; ensure campaigns are compliant with Meta policies and not-for-profit standards.
Create and schedule content tailored to Facebook and Instagram formats (Reels, Stories, carousels, lives, posts).
Grow engagement through proactive community management: responding to comments/DMs, moderation, escalating sensitive issues appropriately.
Collaborate with internal teams to capture impact stories and turn them into platform-ready content.
Write strong social copy that fits our voice: inspiring, inclusive, and action-oriented.
Produce or coordinate creative assets (basic design/video edits) using Adobe suite (Preferred tools: Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator)
Create and manage a content calendar.
Ensure consistency in branding, accessibility (alt text, captions), and cultural sensitivity.
Track performance using Meta Business Suite/Ads Manager and reporting tools; translate data into insights and next steps.
Report on KPIs such as reach, engagement rate, follower growth, CTR, CPC/CPM, leads, donations (if applicable), and overall ROI.
Recommend improvements based on trends, platform changes, and audience behavior.
Coordinate influencer/community partnerships when relevant.
Support integrated campaigns with email/web teams to strengthen conversion paths (landing pages, donation flows, sign-ups).
Basic Qualifications
Proven experience managing Facebook and Instagram for an organization (preferably not-for-profit, social impact, education, health, or community services).
Strong Meta Ads Manager expertise: campaign setup, targeting, retargeting, and optimization.
Demonstrated ability to build engagement strategies (not just posting—real community growth).
Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills tailored to Meta platforms.
Comfortable working with analytics and making data-driven decisions.
Experience with content planning tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Later, Hootsuite, Buffer) and creative tools (e.g., Adobe Suite).
Preferred 3+ Years Experience running fundraising or lead-gen campaigns (donations, event signups, volunteer recruitment).
Preferred experience in creating designs using Adobe Suite
Knowledge of pixels/conversion tracking, UTM tagging, and basic web analytics (GA4).
Experience working with small teams and managing multiple priorities.
Understanding of accessibility best practices for social content.

Compensation: $25 - $50 CAD/HR
