Job Description

 - Conduct, contribute, and assist in the preparation and delivery of various Supportability Engineering and Product Support Analyses, plans, and reports to improve the support system of equipment and optimize maintainability, availability, and life cycle cost.

  - Review vendor documentation to identify maintenance and support requirements.

  - Collect, organize, and expedite the necessary technical data for Product and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) activities such as Functional Analysis, Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis, Maintenance Task Analysis, and Sparing Analysis.

  - Determine required spares and spares quantities by reviewing technical publications and usage data, and interacting with engineering, procurement, and service delivery personnel, Technical Authorities, or ship staff.

  - Develop Maintenance Plans, Preventive or Corrective Maintenance Schedules, Instructions, and Performance Tests, as well as Spare Parts Lists and accompanying Provisioning Technical Data for new equipment or modifications to existing ship systems.

  - Manage data within the Logistics Support

  - Review elements of the technical data package to ensure it reflects the latest system/equipment configuration, is complete, accurate, and consistent.

  - Create Document Change Requests and liaise with technical contributors to develop Change Packages and identify technical data package revisions.

Skills and Experience:

  - Education: An Engineering degree or two-year diploma from a recognized university or college in mechanical, electrical, electronic, industrial, reliability, or naval engineering.

  - Alternatively, certification in one of the technical trades of the CAF: Marine Technician RQ-PO2, Weapons Engineer Technician RQ-PO2, Legacy QL 6A Marine Engineer, Legacy QL 6A Marine Electrician, Legacy QL 6A Hull Technician, Legacy QL 6A Naval Electronics Technician, or Legacy QL 6A Naval Weapons Technician.

  - Experience: One to three years of experience within the last five years conducting Logistics Support Analysis in maintenance and supply support of complex systems or equipment. Open to new grads.

  - Technical Skills: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite with strong skills in Excel.

  - Language: English (Essential), French (Desirable).

Preferred Qualifications:

  - Previous experience working with Logistics Support Analysis application software such as OmegaPS, Reliasoft RAM, Eagle ELT, SLIC2B, Relex, and/or Analyzer.

  - Background in naval systems and equipment.

  - Experience supporting an operational military asset.

  - Experience identifying and addressing Logistics Support Analysis deficiencies in Technical Publications.

  - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
