We are currently seeking a qualified Digital Payload System Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for design, analysis, implementation, optimization and enhancement of end-to-end communication digital payload systems and/or subsystem elements related to the system architecture.

Responsibilities
Design, analyze, implement, and optimize end-to-end satellite communication digital payload systems and related subsystem architectures.
Support or lead telecommunications systems engineering activities for satellite-based connectivity solutions.
Contribute to the design of satellite payloads, including RF bent-pipe and digital onboard processing payloads (transparent or regenerative).
Develop system requirements and subsystem specifications for RF and digital payload components such as digital channel processors, phased array antennas, multi-spot beam systems, and flexible payload architectures.
Perform system requirement analysis, trade studies, and link budget calculations to evaluate payload performance and satellite throughput.
Establish and supervise systems engineering standards, methods, and testing procedures for digital payload systems.
Participate in design reviews, integration activities, and system validation.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 to 8 years of experience in digital equipment, signal processing, and networking technologies (e.g., DTN, MPLS, routing protocols, DVB,
Knowledge of RF systems, satellite payload design, and 5G NTN is considered an asset.
Experience with simulation and modelling tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, UML, or STK, and familiarity with Linux environments.
Understanding of Software Defined Radio (SDR) architectures and Agile software development methodologies.
Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
French language proficiency required; English is an asset.
