 Engineering Technician

Aversan Inc. We are currently seeking a qualified  Engineering  Technician to work on leading-edge technology products. The successful candidate for this full-time position will be a part of a highly motivated and highly technical work environment that feeds off the collective energy of a team-oriented workplace.
 
Location: Overland Park, Kansas, USA.



Responsibilities
 
  • Functions in a junior level capacity.
  • Responsible for performing routine aspects of consulting and specialty assignments requiring increased knowledge and application of basic principles in practice area.
  • Works under close supervision of Principal Investigator/Cultural Resource Manager.
 
Production:
  • Prepares and verifies studies of limited scope in practice area.
  • Participates in field studies.
  • Assists in preparation of analysis reports, studies, and assessments.

Coordination:
  • Seeks out supervisor or project leadership to share information and gain guidance with respect to assignment details and coordination.
  • Coordinates with others as assigned by supervisor or project leadership.

Capability:
  • Recognizes and applies appropriate technical methods in completing assignments.
  • Contributes to identifying issues and developing recommended solutions on study assignments.

Knowledge:
  • Provides professional judgment based on industry knowledge in discussing ideas and seeking necessary approvals.

People:
  • Performs as an individual contributor.
 
Basic Qualifications
MUST HAVE:

- Structural experience

- Revit experience

- minimum 8yrs' architectural experience

- Bluebeam 
- Ability to use the appropriate electronic applications and programs required for performing assignments.  Include but not limited to CADD, other electronic applications, information modeling and document storage systems. 
- Advanced knowledge of engineering standards, systems, document control, departmental guides and B&V policies and procedures. 
- Intermediate industry knowledge and technology trends. 
- Intermediate knowledge of company quality program. 
- Advanced ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned. 
- Advanced knowledge of other disciplines. 
- Basic knowledge of construction & constructability practices & principles. 
- Intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides related to assigned engineering discipline. 
- Basic knowledge of procurement & contract administration. 
- Basic knowledge of processes, procedures for project controls and estimating. 
- Basic knowledge of management techniques and company/division HR programs, policies, procedures, and organization structure. 

Education:    
Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred. Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred. Typically a minimum of 8 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
