We are currently seeking a qualified Satellite Systems Platform Lead Engineer to lead the Satellite Platform sub-system engineering team in the development, definition, analysis, implementation, and testing for our client. The Lead Platform Systems engineer will perform and participate in the following activities.
Requirement definition and flowdown, design, performance analysis for the different sub-systems:
TT&C – Telemetry, Tracking & Telecommand
C&DH – Control & data handling
EPS – Electrical Power System
ADCS – attitude Determination & Control System
PROP - Electrical Propulsion
TCS – Thermal Control System
FSW - Flight Software
Satellite life cycle, mission analysis, CONOPS.
Support to Bids and proposals
Monitor suppliers’ design and progress review.
Lead activities in relation with requirements definition and flowdown, SOC, verification and validation matrix, design description, systems budgets, equipment specifications.
Test requirements for the Satellite and the platform sub-systems based on mission requirements.
Lead program milestone reviews including EQSR, SRR, PDR, CDR.
Support Satellite/Platform Assembly, Integration and Test.
Attend all test reviews TRR, TRB, DRB, and NCR’s.
Support Satellite/Platform testing: EGSE, Test supervision, data analysis.
Support to DC & RF harness design, Platform and Payload layout.
Support In-Orbit Test (IOT).
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering in a relevant field with 10+ years of experience
Previous design and AIT experience with LEO/MEO satellite systems
Understanding of the space environment and orbit mechanics
Strong understanding of aerospace systems and engineering fundamentals
Relevant Experience with testing of satellite sub-systems
Experience with qualification and acceptance testing of new designs
High degree of attention to detail
Demonstrated capability to efficiently work with little to no supervision
