PCB Layout Designer

We are currently seeking a qualified PCB Layout Designer to join our team.
 
Location: Ottawa, ON
Work Arrangement: Hybrid

  
 

Responsibilities

• Design PCB layouts, prepare and verify board layouts
• Develop and maintain PCB fabrication drawing and assembly drawing;
• Develop and maintain OrCAD Part libraries(Symbol, Foot Print) using CIP & CIS;
• Implement DFM,DFA,DFT Comments
• Interface with the cross-functional team and with PCB Fabrication Facility.

Basic Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Computer Engineering or equivalent;
• A minimum of 5 years’ of digital hardware design experience;
• Experience with OrCAD Capture, Allegro PCB Editor;
• Experience routing with 8-16layers Rigid PCB, Constraint Setting, High Speed Serial and Differential Traces, Length Matching, Blind and Buried Via Types.
• Experience with Flex and Semi Rigid up to 4-8 Layers is an advantage not Mandatory.
• Experience in Defining Layout Work Flow, Process, Part Request.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of DFM(e.g. CAM 350),DFA Tools is an advantage not Mandatory.
