TECHNICAL SPECIALIST – HARDWARE APPLICATION DESIGN

Aversan Inc. (www.aversan.com) is a reputable Engineering Company that provides expertise in Systems Integration, Product Design/Development and Software/Product Testing for highly regulated industries including Digital Health, Medical Devices, IT and Aerospace.  We are currently seeking a qualified Technical Specialist – Hardware Application Design to work on leading edge technology products. The successful candidate for this position will be a part of highly motivated and highly technical work environment that feeds off the collective energy of a team-oriented workplace.

Location: Toronto, ON

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce application designs and equipment designs that meet requirements utilizing processes based on established engineering principles.
• Responsible for demonstrating an advanced level of logical reasoning resulting in effective hardware application designs, products and processes.
• Responsible for Interpreting and writing requirements.
• Prepare specifications for hardware and/or software components.
• Responsible for generating accurate, supportable estimates for current departmental technology and providing estimates for technologies that are new to the department.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have Bachelor’s degree or Post-secondary Technologist diploma or Electrical or Electronics Engineering degree
• Must have 10 – 12 years related work experience
• Computer literate with knowledge of CAD tools (Microstation, AutoCad), Bills of Materials, (SAP), Configuration Management, Clearquest, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Good understanding of SelTrac signal plans and SelTrac Radio equipment.
• Knowledge of Chorus process is an asset.
