We are currently seeking a Field Test & Commissioning Engineer For our client a global leader in Rail Transport. The individual will be a part of a high-profile project responsible for performing integration and test activities comprising of field support of on-going projects. Assitionally also performing field change modifications to existing designs as needed; performing field troubleshooting, maintenance in CBTC equipment such as vehicle and wayside systems, and other external tasks related to test documentation and formalization of reports.

Job Description
Perform integration and test activities comprising of field support of on-going project activities. Perform Field Change modification to existing Designs as needed; Perform field troubleshooting, maintenance in CBTC equipment such as vehicle and wayside systems, and other external tasks related to test documentation and formalization of reports.
Key Accountabilities:
Performs on-site installation and maintenance of Non- CBTC and CBTC equipment for wayside systems
Initiates work process procedures as per customer process
Identify problems detected during tests and corrects them as required
Supports Troubleshooting and repair CBTC equipment as required
Provides support of test Carborne and Wayside activities and the planning of field activities
Provides technical support in all operational matters in the functionality of wayside subsystems
Works with diverse departments and becomes involved in all phases of integration, commissioning and support
Promotes customer relations / company credibility
Investigate/Troubleshoot system anomalies through analysis of data files, design documentation and interaction with development departments
Provide summaries and detailing of test activities in the form of both informal and formal test reports
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or master’s degree in related field with 5+ years of experience.
Field experience in a rail transit installation, test or support environment or similar technology application is of significance.
Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments
Effective organizational and communication skills to interact professionally with all levels inside and outside the organization.
Strong process orientation and discipline to ensure compliance with both Corporate and Customer procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience in installation and testing of automatic train control systems concepts and principles as well as current existing signaling standards
Working knowledge of safety standards and practices required at project site
Flexibility to take on additional projects and adapt to changes in priorities
Critical thinking, able to identify and implement better efficiencies and process improvements
Knowledge of train control systems, preferably of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) products with respect to installation support and testing a strong asset
Experience in deploying fixed block signaling systems a strong asset
Typically 3-4 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above
