Experienced Component Engineer familiar with Parts, Materials and Processes used on Circuit Card Assemblies and capable of providing Subject Matter Expertise on Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical (EEE) components
.Responsible for providing knowledge and expertise in selection, specification, application, and qualification of EEE parts for use in high reliability applications.
This position will require interfacing with, and leading design teams to assure reliable application of parts and interfacing with suppliers to assess part performance.
Familiarity with military specifications (e.g. MIL-PRF-19500 and MIL-PRF38535) and standards (e.g. MIL-STD-883) for EEE components is desired.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering
6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area is required.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
