Humans Factors Expert, UX Operator Interface and GUI Designer

The Human Factors Expert/ GUi & UX Designer is responsible for:
Participate in an interdisciplinary integrated project team environment.
Work closely with software and engineering to develop specialized Graphical User Interface (GUI) on military embedded hardware devices or software designs for complex applications using an Agile development process.
As this is a cross-discipline role bridging a GUI design role with engineering and software development to ensure a positive end user experience in our products, you may be asked to support these other roles in cross-functional capacities as priorities evolve sprint-to-sprint.
Identify and create software user interface requirements and analysis of implementation.
Prepare and review design documents.
Document the analysis, design and test activities in accordance with development standards.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Engineering, Industrial Design or applicable scientific discipline is required.
5+ years of experience in human Factor, RPAS specific one is an asset.Experience designing front end user interfaces for software and firmware in an iterative manner from low to high fidelity design.
Visible and expressive passion and experience with Graphical User Interface design, UX and/or Human Computer Interaction.
Experience using GUI prototyping tools such as Axure, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, etc.
Able capture end user and to translate,and coordinate a GUI experience to the development team, including the creation of assets to facilitate development.
Experience working in a cross-functional engineering development team.
Experience supporting engineering development with SW/testing/systems experience.
Detailed oriented in the creation and communication of front end user interface design.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in English (Both written and verbal).
Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
Enthusiastic contributor, willing to learn new skills and takes on ownership of work.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, with minimum supervision.
Interest in working with the Canada’s biggest Drone (LX300) in a constant evolving field with the latest technologies.
Note: Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
