ClearCase Administrator

  • Resolves assigned incidents and change requests within the agreed SLAs;
  • Provide technical support to users in multiple locations;     
  • Interface with engineering application end-users to determine their needs and expectations;
  • Deliver application upgrades as required to meet functional, obsolescence, security, or other requirements;
  • Owns Engineering Applications internal policies and processes, provides recommendations for improvements and ensures the processes are up to date;    
  • Configure, establish, and maintain the application environments;      
  • Customize the software applications to meet company requirements;    
  • Import/Export data between applications as required;
  • Plan, implement, and maintain access control strategies;  
  • Write scripts to automate as much of the day-to-day work as possible;     
  • Write triggers to support process enhancements;
  • Keep current with the applications’ patches and new releases; and monitor performance and license usage;      
  • Interface with vendors to report defects, and request enhancements;     
  • Maintain a very high level of availability of the software applications. Update Engineering Applications documentation and Training materials;
  • Manages existing engineering licenses and the future demand. Ensure licenses are renewed on time;
  • Manage the Engineering licenses OPEX and CAPEX budgets Produces/participates in preparation of presentations for Senior management and Engineering community as required;
  • Improve Engineering Applications governance in multi-entity environment, including Data Management governance;
  • Recommends Engineering Applications improvements;
  • Maintains relationships and communication with the Engineering community.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience deploying, managing and maintaining software engineering applications;
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a ClearCase/Multisite and IBM ClearQuest administrator for large projects in a Windows environment;
  • Experience as a License Asset Manager- preferred;
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Experience with configuration management principles;
  • Experience in regulated industries such as Transportation, Aerospace, etc.;
  • Experience upgrading software in windows a huge asset;
  • Proficient in Perl scripting is an asset;
  • Experience in negotiating with users and management;
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
