Fuel Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Systems lead on RFI/RFP/RFP and bid proposals - providing technical input (key function, architecture, components, challenges, etc.);
  • Support bid proposals by providing technical project management guidance including customer requirements analysis, design and system architectures, definition of project phases, cost analysis, feasibility study, etc.;
  • Lead the development of aircraft fuel system architecture from requirement definition, design verification and validation process;
  • Supervise and follow up the certification process for fuel aircraft systems;
  • Coordinate and manage the engineering activities of implementing the fuel system design;
  • Coordinate the engineering activities with different fuel systems and subsystem supplier involve in in the implementation of Aircraft fuel system;
  • Work with different aircraft division and systems integrators in order to correct perform implementation of fuel systems including frame structures, avionic, flight controls engines and propulsion to correctly integrate system activities on aircraft;
  • Perform safety assessment on the activities related to fuel system integration;
  • Follow process development and coordinate engineering activities including design, implementation, system manufacturing, implementation, qualification, flight installation, and flight test and system certification.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in fuel systems design for a major air framer;
  • Experience in fuel system design from the component level up to system integration and system testing;
  • Experience in developing simulation for fuel hydraulic systems;
  • Knowledge of industry standards like ARP8615, MIL-F-17874, and JSSG 2009;
  • Knowledge on Aerospace standards ARP 4754a and 4761 and Knowledge DO160G;
  • Aerospace Fuel System Specifications and Standards AIR1408B.
  • Experience in the selection and design of fuel hydraulic mechanisms like pumps. Valves actuators etc;
  • Knowledge on safety analysis and conducting safety evaluations including FMEA”S and fault trees;
  • Good interpersonal relations;
  • Experience working with different stakeholders within the organization as well as external interfaces such as customers and suppliers;
  • Experience in flight stability issues related to fuel management on the aircraft;
  • Knowledge on simulation models like AMESIM software GT suite mat lab or similar;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
