Technical Lead for System Integration Lab Software

  • Participate and provide a leadership role in the architecture, design, development, and commissioning of a clean-sheet NI Lab view and NI Test stand based hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) system integration lab (SIL)
  • Participate in architecting lab software with systems, hardware, and software teams
  • Analyze system level aircraft requirements and develop test and simulation environments to exercise those requirements
  • Participate in the development and execution of Lab Software Development Plans and Lab Software Verification Plans
  • Participates in design reviews for the deliverable and SIL products and monitor/status their development progress.
  • Serves as a technical customer interface / lead for the system integration lab test and the deliverable SIL products.

Basic Qualification:
  • BSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Experience developing software utilized to execute system integration testing of real-time controllers
  • Experience programming NI LabView and NI Test Stand required
  • Experience with Python and Speed goat an asset
  • Experience with DO-330 or DO-178B tool qualification an asset
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Experience developing, decomposing, and allocating requirements.
  • Aircraft avionics software development or test experience an asset.
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to high level stakeholders.
  • Experience with FAA/EASA certification an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management an asset.
  • Proficient professional written and verbal communication skills including briefings and presentations to senior leadership and customers.
  • Proven track record of working with international partners and suppliers to develop and deliver program solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to influence, collaborate and work effectively with all levels of internal and external leadership as part of an international team.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Location:Canada. Travel to US and Europe may be required.
