Financial Analyst

Aversan Inc. is a multi-service engineering firm specializing in design, build, testing, certification, and support services for embedded flight and rail systems & software, health technology, and advanced IT.


  • Active preparation and support to month-end, year-end close and budgeting processes;
  • Preparation and timely submission of Magnitude Reporting (according to IFRS and Corporate standards) as well as preparation and submission of quarterly financial notes to the statements to the Group;
  • Preparation of general accounting entries (Accruals, Corporate Cost-sharing, THINT costs, tax provision and deferred tax entries, pension, etc.);
  • Preparation and coordination of the monthly internal financial reporting package for management review;
  • Preparation of quarterly tax provision and Income Tax package for Annual Corporate return;
  • Support in annual MYB construction process (of some of the G&A line items) along with the budget controller and accounting manager;
  • Preparation & support of MYB balance sheet line items (annual and monthly);
  • Support in Headcount reporting/ monitoring;
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Preparation of monthly Income Statement comparison of Actuals to Budgets (variance analysis);
    • Preparation of monthly variance analysis of Balance Sheet to budget and forecast (must provide relevant financial information to decision-makers);
    • Performs Balance Sheet account reconciliations (must provide analytical insight that supports conclusions);
    • SAP period opening and closing and Year-end rollover SAP FICO;
    • Maintains and updates the FX currency table;
  • Support with external and internal audits (External Auditor, Government Agencies, etc.):
    • Preparation of Operation Cash Flows (OCF);
    • Prepare weekly cash Dashboard;
    • Reporting schedules for month-end closing activities and Magnitude;
  • Preparation of ad hoc analysis at the request of managers;
  • Direct and/or participation in special projects at the request of management;
  • Support other Finance shared Services team members as needed;
  • Ensures timely resolution of issues;
  • Drives initiatives to promote streamlined processes, operational efficiency and enhanced internal controls;
  • Supports new system implementations (when applicable);
  • Provides timely Finance support to operational teams as required and facilitates cross-functional communication. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a specialization in Accounting, and an accounting designation (CPA-CMA, CGA, or CA);
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis;
  • Experience with large accounting software (SAP is preferred);
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, including advanced functions;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
