Jr. IT Coordinator/ IT Helpdesk Support

  • Provide first level IT support to company computer users;
  • Utilize the IT ticketing system to triage and manage all incoming IT issues - prioritizing, assessing, and resolving the incidents, while escalating more complex issues to the proper channels;
  • Setup and support new and existing users' workstation;
  • Assist in the maintenance, development, and implementation of new and existing infrastructure;
  • Maintaining inventory/asset lists, flag when stocks are low, track to whom assets are deployed;
  • Creating detailed and accurate diagrams of room layouts showing outlets, plugs, switches, electrical equipment;
  • Update, create, and develop documentation to improve the end-users experience and for internal IT use;
  • Reimaging of desktop/laptop machines for specific functions;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • A diploma in IT or related field;
  • A+ Certification would be an asset;
  • Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications would be an asset;
  • Knowledge supporting Windows 7/10 desktops and laptops;
  • Excellent technical knowledge of:
    • Microsoft Operating Systems;
    • PC Hardware;
    • Typical peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, switches, etc.;
    • TCP/IP;
    • Internet/Wireless Connectivity; and
    • Microsoft Office.
  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to take direction and work independently when required;
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and take initiative in helping others;
  • Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and problem solving skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and procedural knowledge with good documentation skills;
  • Able to work extended hours including weekends and evenings from time to time;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
