We are currently seeking a qualified Buyer / Expeditor to join our team. Responsibilities
- Create and release purchase orders and ensure accurate order execution.
- Obtain supplier acknowledgements and commitment dates, and maintain up-to-date expediting information.
- Follow up with suppliers on late deliveries and past-due orders to ensure timely material availability.
- Update ERP data, including delivery dates, quantities, pricing, and supplier commitments.
- Resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies and escalate material shortages or supplier issues as required.
- Support RFQ activities and sourcing requests.
- Maintain compliance with approved suppliers, contracts, and pricing requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams and suppliers to support uninterrupted operations and material availability.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; DEC/Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, inventory management, customer service, manufacturing, or supply chain.
- Bilingualism is mandatory.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong attention to accuracy.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and push back when required.
- Demonstrated diligence in maintaining and updating expediting reports and ERP information.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of procurement processes and purchase order management.
- Proficiency with ERP systems; Oracle experience is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and be resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing and updating large volumes of data is an asset.
- Aerospace or technology-sector experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of hardware equipment, sheet metal, or machinery is an asset.
- APICS/ASCM, PMAC, or equivalent procurement certification is an asset.
