Responsibilities
- Support and maintain compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and applicable customer and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal quality audits and assist with external customer, registrar, and regulatory audits.
- Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations using methodologies such as 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis, and CAPA processes.
- Manage non-conformance reporting, corrective actions, and preventive actions to ensure timely resolution.
- Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, including PFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP submissions.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to ensure product compliance.
- Oversee incoming inspection processes and collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve product quality.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues and manage supplier corrective action requests (SCARs).
- Participate in process improvement projects focused on reducing defects, improving efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Prepare quality reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.
- Support cross-functional teams in achieving quality objectives throughout product development and production.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, or a related industry.
- Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, or other quality management systems.
- Experience conducting internal audits and supporting external audits.
- Strong experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), CAPA, 5-Why, and Fishbone Analysis methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP processes.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
- Experience with incoming inspection, non-conformance management, and corrective action processes.
- Knowledge of supplier quality management and supplier corrective action processes.
- Experience analyzing quality data and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency with quality tools, statistical analysis techniques, and quality management systems.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred Qualifications: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification and experience within aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
