Business Development Account Manager

We are currently seeking a qualified Business Development Account Manager to join our team. The Business Development Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships, supporting new and existing business opportunities, and coordinating cross‑functional efforts related to work packages for electronics products, engineering services, and proposals. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, internal leadership, and engineering teams to ensure timely, compliant, and commercially viable solutions.

Compensation: Base salary range of $100,000–$125,000 plus commission

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, managing ongoing relationships, responding to project and business needs, monitoring contract performance, and identifying opportunities to grow and expand existing accounts.
  • Identify, qualify, and support new business opportunities across engineering services and turnkey project delivery, including gathering customer requirements, understanding budget constraints, and aligning internal resources.
  • Lead and support end‑to‑end business development activities, including opportunity shaping, capture planning, bid/no‑bid evaluation, and proposal coordination.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross‑functional teams (engineering, contracts, finance, and management) to assess commercial feasibility, develop pricing strategies, and support proposal development, including pricing inputs and technical reviews.
  • Communicate customer priorities, risks, assumptions, and timelines clearly to internal teams to ensure alignment between customer expectations, delivery commitments, and win strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations and support customer meetings, site visits, and on‑site engagements to strengthen relationships and support business development efforts.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity pipeline forecasts, documentation, and reporting to support approvals, compliance, audit requirements, and continuous improvement of customer satisfaction and service quality.

 

Basic Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related Engineering or Business degree (Computer/Electronics preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development and account management, or capture management within engineering services or technical consulting.
  • Strong understanding of commercial concepts including pricing, bill rates, margins, and customer requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities while building long‑term client relationships and expanding existing accounts.
  • Proficiency with various CRM systems, customer platforms, and standard business tools such as Salesforce, etc.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.
