We are currently seeking a qualified Bilingual Methods Agent (French & English) to join our team. Location: St-Laurent, Quebec Schedule: Hybrid
Description: As a Methods Agent, you will use your expertise to define and create the manufacturing file (assembly sequences, manufacturing BOM, visual work instructions) while ensuring health & safety standards are met and risks are eliminated.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating the manufacturing file.
Define the optimal assembly sequence, respecting health and safety standards and technical constraints.
Create work routings in line with the assembly sequence.
Develop visual work instructions tailored to the production environment. The format may be 3D (Industry 4.0) or 2D, depending on the type of assembly.
Support the implementation of new work routines in production.
Maintain the manufacturing file up to date (work routines, work instructions).
Establish standards for the creation of work routings and instructions.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement using problem-solving techniques and concepts such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean, Design Thinking, and Agile.
Define and monitor project milestones, key steps, and control points, and track progress.
Implement projects to improve the manufacturing field.
Be proactive and contribute to the industry 4.0 transformation of our manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with various teams: Engineering, Production, Project Managers, and IT.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial methods or manufacturing engineering.
Proficient in reading and interpreting assembly drawings.
Skilled in handling 3D models.
Strong experience in executing manufacturing projects.
Knowledge of PLM, MPMlink, and CreoView (an asset).
Understanding of the manufacturing environment and its challenges.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), leadership, strong team spirit, and change management skills.
Comfortable working in a distributed, remote environment, with occasional office presence if needed.
Bilingualism (French and English) required.
