Sr. Data Developer (HCM)
Alameda, CaliforniaAversan Inc., a leading engineering company specializing in Systems Integration, Software Testing, and product development, is seeking a skilled Data Engineering and Analytics Developer who will provide HR model in existing data platform to integrate with existing data in the stack. Current environment has modern data platform that provides data and metrics for the entire organization.
In this role, you will be the developer for the overall product and guide the team to model data to generate business-driven metrics, illustrated through robust dashboards and visualizations. Must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams, including executives. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
The successful candidate will work with the core IT team to integrate Oracle HRIS data with existing data in the Avalanche data platform. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Business Insights.

Responsibilities:
- Design HR data model from ingestion to visualization using Snowflake SQL, dbt, and modern BI Tools
- Implement best practices for the data stack that provides maintainability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Provide expertise in data warehouse modeling and development for Snowflake
- Exercise best practices in optimal Data modeling for nonuniform sets of data
- Provide best practices for source code control with GitHub
- Design and Maintain data security access controls
- Develop SQL, HTML, and/or JavaScript code to optimize the stack or to generate views for visualization.
- BS in Computer Science. The emphasis in Data Engineering is a plus
- 2+ years Experience with Oracle Business Suite (OBI, HRIS) and Workday
- 3-5 years of SQL experience, Snowflake SQL dialect
- 2-4 years of dbt experiences, semantic layer experience is a plus
- 6-8 years Data Engineering Development and visualization experience
- 3-5 years of Data Warehouse experience is required. Snowflake DWH is preferred
- 2-4 years of experience with Github.
- 2-3 years of experience with Ci/CD tools for the modern data stack
- 2-4 years of Looker/LookML, Tableau or modern BI tool experiences
- 2+ years of Python development
- HTML and JavaScript experiences relate to Looker/Tableau are preferred
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills
