Description - The Quality Assurance (QA) team develops and maintains a world-class Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with deliverable products to customers and promotes continuous improvement. As a Hardware Quality Assurance Specialist at client, your role will be to ensure that quality standards are met, company standards are maintained, and product integrity is preserved for the hardware used in flight training devices.

Responsibilities
  • As the Hardware Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for the overall compliance and effectiveness of the manufacturing process (inspection of incoming products, final inspection, complete manufacturing cycle, including product validation and associated processes).
  • Perform the complete audit cycle – plan an audit, conduct the audit, report/communicate results, and issue corrective actions if necessary. The types of audits primarily concern internal processes (manufacturing, regulations, internal policies) as well as external/supplier processes (QMS, design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, inspection).
  • Ensure product compliance with design requirements based on a quality plan – develop inspection and testing standards, establish control points, supervise the inspection process, and address non-conformities through resolution plans.
  • Maintain manufacturing requirements – review, assign responsibility, and determine material disposition for non-conformities; conduct investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions for material issues; update/develop standards used to accept/reject parts; organize quality clinics.
  • Lead Material Review Board (MRB) meetings and provide necessary recommendations.
  • Conduct quality audits in the production area.
  • Validate and verify manufacturing processes as well as qualification techniques.
  • Deploy measures in production to generate continuous improvement projects.
  • Identify improvement opportunities – analyze data to find recurring problems using problem-solving tools (Ishikawa/Pareto/control charts, etc.); organize product/process improvement sessions.
 
Basic Qualifications
  • DEC (Diploma of College Studies) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical training with relevant experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in internal and external audits (suppliers) is required.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and its quality management principles.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to mechanical or electrical products (welding, plating, painting, machining, sheet metal work, mechanical/electrical assembly, PCB assembly, cable assembly).
  • Bilingual (French and English).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
