IT PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Aversan Inc. (www.aversan.com) is a reputable Engineering Company that provides expertise in Systems Integration, Product Design/Development and Software/Product Testing for highly regulated industries including Digital Health, Medical Devices, IT and Aerospace.  We are currently seeking a qualified IT Procurement Manager to work on leading edge technology products. The successful candidate for this position will be a part of highly motivated and highly technical work environment that feeds off the collective energy of a team-oriented workplace.

Location: Overland Park, Kansas (Hybrid)
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to effective service delivery of software services in ServiceNow.
  • Monitor effective license positions and ensure adherence to vendor terms and conditions of use.
  • Identify and action opportunities for license reclamation and optimization.
  • Leverage tools to automate the collection of software information (install & usage) to simplify current processes and provide more focused, exception reporting. 
  • Review software license requests prior to implementation to determine if reuse or the procurement of new licensing is required. 
  • Review software license reporting with business representatives and assist in the overall understanding of the licensing model and allowed usage (as required).
  • Report generation and user validation related to software contract renewals.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze software usage trend data to determine maintenance/support requirements and coordinate with business lines to effectively determine strategy for acquisition/renewal of maintenance support program enrollments.
  • Support external software audit activities including readiness assessment, vendor coordination, data analysis, remediation, and communication as required
  • Maintain software asset database to track software entitlements, allocations, and related contract details.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Higher education preferred (university/college degree).
  • 5+ years' experience. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite. 
  • Must have ServiceNow Asset & SAM Pro proficiencies. 
  • Must have Software Industry nomenclature proficiencies. 
  • Must have Software Asset Management best practices.
  • General knowledge of commercial terms and conditions. 
  • Certifications in SAM, ITAM, ITIL, ITSM preferred.
