N/C Programmer II

Aversan Inc. (www.aversan.com) is a reputable Engineering Company that provides expertise in Systems Integration, Product Design/Development and Software/Product Testing for highly regulated industries including Digital Health, Medical Devices, IT and Aerospace.  We are currently seeking a qualified N/C Programmer II to work on leading edge technology products. The successful candidate for this position will be a part of highly motivated and highly technical work environment that feeds off the collective energy of a team-oriented workplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop data relating to the drawing of the part to be produced; begins by examining the technical drawings or 3D models of the parts to be manufactured. Using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided design (CAD) software, it translates this information into understandable data for the CNC machine.
• Choose the most suitable utensils and correctly set the machining parameters.
• Configure speed, feed and cutting depth settings to ensure optimal results.
• Generate the instruction file, in a language compatible with the control computer (for example, G-code).
• Introduce the instructions on the machine tool; load it via storage media (like a USB stick) or transmit it directly to the machine via a network.
• Test the program and check the operation of the CNC machine.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Must understand machining processes and be able to resolve technical problems related to programming and machining1234.
• Must be Bilingual in English & French.
• Must have experience with Mastercam/vericut.
• Experience with support production; post processeur and VPSS is nice to have.
