Manufacture & Test Engineer

Brampton, ON

Responsibilities

  • Test the test fixtures and design the test to verify mechanical systems
  • Working directly with the project team to generate engineering design documents and deliverables for systems, structures, (drawings, calculations, studies, assembly drawings, and BOM's
  • Assist in risk management and risk mitigation strategies
  • Maintain design/drawing libraries
  • Will have access to engineering models does not need to create or drafts
  • Identifies risks, proposes solutions and develops mitigation strategies
  • Investigate problems/failures during development and test
  • Liaises with customer to resolve issues and discuss new business
  • Work alongside production shop floor and engineering.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 yrs experience with mechanism design and analysis activities, including tolerance analysis, component selection and performance analysis
  • Must have experience with either environmental testing, temperature testing, verification testing, testing for rigs, landing gear environment aircraft flight controls, production rotors and or assembly
  • Experience in creating of vibration and load cell testing
  • Experience in the manufacturing and testing of subsystems, assemblies and components – including design of GSE
  • Familiarity with NX CAD & CAE tools
  • Experience with customer interactions for presentations, technical discussions or training
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
