Aversan Inc. is a multi-service engineering firm specializing in design, build, testing, certification, and support services for embedded flight and rail systems & software, health technology, and advanced IT.
Provide leadership and guidance to all Software, Hardware and Mechanical team members in PLM;
Serve as an interface between PLM team (software, hardware, mechanical) and management /project stakeholders;
Supervise and delegate software and hardware work items within the PLM team;
Ensure the team is collaborating closely with all stakeholders and understands their requirements;
Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship;
Act as a mentor for new or lower level hardware and software members on the PLM team;
Ensure the team is aware and following priority among work items;
Assist in collection and recording of the team’s Hardware, Mechanical, and Software teams time and resource efforts;
Support manufacturing, quality, and service with investigation, testing, and associated design or manufacturing corrections for system hardware and software;
Understand and comply with company Quality System.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent work experience;
Minimum 8 years of Hardware systems and/or Electrical device experience;
Software development experience is an asset;
Experience working in a regulated industry with user/patient safety is preferred (medical, automotive, aerospace, etc.);
End to end experience across the entire development lifecycle of a product in Hardware and Software;
Understanding of FDA’s QSR (CFR 820), IEC 60601, and/or IEC 62304 is preferred;
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting;
Excellent ability to prioritize and carry out multiple tasks;
Ability to quickly learn new technology and apply knowledge to solve technical and business problems;
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with ability to think “out of the box” required;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
