Systems Team Lead

  • Provide leadership and guidance to all Software, Hardware and Mechanical team members in PLM;
  • Serve as an interface between PLM team (software, hardware, mechanical) and management /project stakeholders;
  • Supervise and delegate software and hardware work items within the PLM team;
  • Ensure the team is collaborating closely with all stakeholders and understands their requirements;
  • Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship;
  • Act as a mentor for new or lower level hardware and software members on the PLM team;
  • Ensure the team is aware and following priority among work items;
  • Assist in collection and recording of the team’s Hardware, Mechanical, and Software teams time and resource efforts;
  • Support manufacturing, quality, and service with investigation, testing, and associated design or manufacturing corrections for system hardware and software;
  • Understand and comply with company Quality System.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent work experience;
  • Minimum 8 years of Hardware systems and/or Electrical device experience;
  • Software development experience is an asset;
  • Experience working in a regulated industry with user/patient safety is preferred (medical, automotive, aerospace, etc.);
  • End to end experience across the entire development lifecycle of a product in Hardware and Software;
  • Understanding of FDA’s QSR (CFR 820), IEC 60601, and/or IEC 62304 is preferred;
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting;
  • Excellent ability to prioritize and carry out multiple tasks;
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and apply knowledge to solve technical and business problems;
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with ability to think “out of the box” required;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
