Job Summary: 
The Satellite Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining system requirements for satellite missions. This position involves leading the design and analysis of satellite subsystems, including mechanical and electrical components, from mission conception through to operational deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain system requirements from the mission level down to major subsystems (Platform, Payload, Ground Segment) based on mission requirements and customer needs.
- Lead mission design trade-off studies to optimize subsystem design and development.
- Prepare performance budgets, design reports, and CONOPS for satellite missions.
- Conduct mission development analyses, including link budgets, coverage analyses, geolocation accuracy, and pointing knowledge budgets.
- Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) between major mission subsystems.
- Review subcontractor design materials to ensure compliance with requirements and system operational constraints (SOCs).
- Model satellites using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches.
- Develop satellite test procedures and oversee their execution.
- Participate in the verification and validation of mission activities, including on-orbit commissioning and routine operations.
- Monitor and coordinate with suppliers and integrated product teams.
- Evaluate satellite electrical and RF performance.
- Lead and support all program review stages, including EQSR, SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.
- Support Satellite Assembly Integration and Test activities.
- Attend test reviews including TRR, TRB, DRB, and NCR.
- Oversee satellite testing processes, including EGSE and test supervision.
- Support In-Orbit Testing (IOT).
- Develop Satellite procedures and Operations Manuals.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or related field) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in design and testing of LEO/MEO satellite systems.
- Strong understanding of the space environment, orbit mechanics, and aerospace engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with RF systems testing and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in satellite subsystem testing.
- Ability to lead systems integration processes and perform qualification and acceptance testing of new designs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Independent worker with attention to detail.
- Experience in leading and coaching technical teams.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
